Seismoelectric Surveys
Uncertain where to drill for the best yield of water on your property? A Seismoelectric Survey will help reduce the guess work.
Baylis Brothers
If you would like to find out more on what a seismic report can tell you about finding water on your property, please give us a call.
By sending sharp seismic pulses deep into the ground and listening for corresponding signals we can accurately locate the water table and measure permeability of surrounding rock. We can tell how much water is present, how deep it is, how fast flowing it might be …and even how salty it is. We also know what kind of rock or sand we will encounter when we drill.
Do you know where the best, most reliable source of water is on your property?
With myriad ways to divine for water you would expect to find it the first time you drill for it. Sadly that is not always the case.
Forked sticks, bent rods and pendulums just don’t stand up to good solid science. If you want the best information about water location, flow and even purity on hand before you break soil on your property, get in touch with Baylis Brothers. We will happily provide you with a quote for a seismic report before you potentially start drilling in the wrong spot.
With the right information on hand it becomes a so much easier decide where to drill your bore.

- Signals are collected using electrodes placed in the ground in a standard configuration.
- Position fixing is generally achieved using a standard GPS.
- Sites can be surveyed for more accurate positioning .
- Elevation is established using a barometric altimeter.
