Whether your bore is new or old, it’s important that it is water tight in both directions in order to prevent contamination of your water supply.

We use state of the art equipment and techniques to test that your well is water-tight, and there is no contamination from the external environment or the glands or fittings. We then ensure that your well meets council requirements by following guidelines to ensure that your well is properly protected and secure.
After the Havelock North Water Contamination event there is now a greater understanding of the need for bore and aquifer security. Works included for this would be bore casing a minimum height above ground level; the bore casing, wellhead and fittings in good condition. Either Bentonite or concrete placed around the bore at surface level to provide a seal between the casing and ground, hopefully help mitigating possible contamination ingressing down the side of the casing pipe. Non return valves fitted to bore droppers and pipework to stop possible back-flow and where required the bore fenced off to stop access by stock or the public.
