TESTING

Baylis Brothers are experts in Bore Security and can help you to ensure your water supply is safe from contamination. Municipal bores and irrigation bores (and occasionally domestic bores) that operate with submersible pumps can be gland tested to ensure that no contamination is occurring from the top of the bore to the water supply.

TECHNICAL INFO

There are three stages to Gland Testing:

1. A visual inspection of the glands and cabling
2. A physical wipe of the cabling and tugging to see how tight the cabling is in the gland
3. Pressurising of the bore through the sealed wellhead using compressed air

By simply spraying the glands/cabling with a soapy solution you get visual proof if there is a leak, just look for soap bubbles.
